A romantic country house, serene and elegant, minutes from the bustle of the charming town of St. Michaels, Maryland, on the Chesapeake Bay.

Set on half an acre with an old-fashioned tree swing, the house overlooks painterly vistas. A traditional Eastern Shore breakfast is served to guests in the blue and yellow dining room, as well as afternoon tea. Special occasion brunches can be arranged on request.

From our front door, bicycle scenic back roads, stroll to the water and antiques shops, then enjoy sunset and a glass of wine on the porch or in our garden sanctuary.

Close by, Eastern Shore fun awaits: sailing, kayaking, golf, hunting, fishing and crabbing, as well as such town pleasures as boutique shopping, spa services, restaurants for all tastes, coffee shops, and a brand-new winery.  Cultural highlights not to be missed include the wonderful Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum and a visit to the eighteenth-century village of Oxford aboard the Oxford-Bellevue ferry.  

After an exciting day of doing everything or nothing, linger in the parlor over a board game or a book and a glass of sherry before retiring upstairs to your very private guest room.  Furnished with antiques, each room is centrally air-conditioned and offers a spotless modern bath en suite.
